Why is having a sitter good for my pet?
Spot stays in his familiar environment, eats his regular food and maintains more of his routine; less stress means fewer behavioral problems. Puff doesn’t get car sick or have to be tranquilized. She is not exposed to any illness another animal might have. They enjoy personal attention, exercise and their health is monitored. And if a problem does arise, they are in the hands of a professional accustomed to handling and transporting a sick pet.
- Why is having a pet sitter good for me?
- Knowing that your pet is in good hands in its own home is less stressful on you, too! There are no worries about transporting your pet or scheduling your time around a kennel’s hours. If you have multiple pets, pet sitting versus kennel boarding costs less! You don’t have to worry about imposing on a neighbor or friend, or if they will remember to care for your pet. Animal Home Buddies will also be happy to give your home an "occupied look" by changing lights and shades, bringing in mail and flyers left on your door, watering your plants, bringing trash and recycling bins in and out and other activities.
- What does a pet sitter do when they visit?
- Amity Animal Home Buddies cleans the water dish, feeds your pet, gives any needed medication, walks/plays with the pet, cleans the litter box or refuse and checks the general health of the animal on each visit. We leave you a written update each day (or a message on your phone, if you prefer). Each visit is at least 30 minutes long.
- OK, having a pet sitter sounds like a good idea. How do I know Amity Animal Home Buddies is the right one for me?
- Whenever a new client contacts us, we set up a "get-acquainted" visit at the client’s home. There is no charge for this visit. This lets us get to know the pet and client and obtain detailed information on what is needed, so the client is comfortable and the pet is happy. After all, we want your return business! At the end of the visit, if you choose us, we will provide you with a written contract for the services you selected, take your deposit and house key.
